Troubleshooting

It's a good idea to print this out and keep it somewhere. If you're having trouble, you may even have trouble getting to this area.
I'm having trouble getting my email
The first steps to take will help you determine where the trouble is. This information is for use if your hosting is with us. If you don't have your hosting with us, check with whomever hosts your site.
1) Open a browser.
2) Check your website to see if you can reach it.
3) If that doesn't work, check another site (maybe cnn.com, yahoo.com, google.com )
3b) If you can't get to a website, your connection is probably down.
If you have cable:
Turn off your PC.
Turn off the cable modem and your wireless router if you're using one, for at least 1-2 minutes.
Then plug the cable modem back in.
Wait for it to have both the power and the cable light on.
Plug in your router.
Reboot your PC or turn your PC back on.
If you have a modem:
Shut your modem off for a little while
then turn it on
then reboot your PC.
4) If #2 above DOES work, go to your site's webmail: http://www.yourdomainname.com/webmail
Username=your full email address (yourname@yourdomainname.com)
Password=your email password
Choose Horde or Squirrelmail.
(If you can get to your webmail, your site and your email are not down on the server.)
If you can see your email by doing #4, but you get an error when you try to send or receive email, look at the error and tell us what the error is.
If it's an SMTP error, then it's most likely your cable or your ISP.
If it's a POP error, or a "I can't connect to yourdomainname.com" error, then report it to us.
